Building at the intersection of data engineering and AI

I'm Shriharsha — 10 years in the data world, starting as a Marketing Effectiveness Analyst in India, moving to London as an Energy Pricing Analyst, then evolving into a Data Scientist and finally a Senior Data Engineer.

At Start.io, I spent 5 years growing from Data Analyst to Senior Data Engineer, built ML models, NLP systems, and scaled the India data team from 2 to 10. Before that, I spent 5+ years at EXL Service working with a UK energy client — building CLV models, churn prediction systems, and pricing optimisation tools.

Now I run Appweave Labs, a software services company. Based in Bangalore.

Data Analyst → Senior Data Engineer

Built JSON-to-SQL translation for MAIA — the industry’s first NLP-powered audience platform. Developed clustering algorithms on OCI for POI identification, gender/age prediction models using text embeddings and XGBoost, and a RAG-based LLM for web page taxonomy classification. Scaled the India data team from 2 to 10.

Built a Customer Lifetime Value model estimating discounted cash flow over 5 years using gamma-distributed GLMs for cost-to-serve and logistic regression for churn prediction. Created an R Shiny text analytics tool using LDA topic modelling. Mentored a team of 5 offshore analysts. Owned the Bundles Proposition product line.

Energy Pricing Analyst

Built sales forecasting and market share models for energy product pricing. Realized £440k value upside by optimising acquisition pricing. Built a churn prediction model with 82% cumulative lift, reducing customer churn by 3pp through pre-engagement strategies.
